Spring Into Action

Eric Wilmot, Director Marketing & Technology

Unlike most winters, this article will be short.

The snow has melted in much of the country and lush green is replacing the slate-grey sheets of ice. Also emerging are the many shipments that the warmer weather encourages. An initial glance at the AAR data shows not only the expected seasonal increase in volume but a true upswing overall. I believe the phrase of the hour is “cautious optimism”. How does this affect you?

As shipping activity reaches higher levels your material has a much greater chance of being lost in the shuffle, delayed during the journey, and be subject to costly repairs. In a relatively short period of time your supply chain can go from expedited to completely broken.

Many times we have seen a shipper’s incomplete or inadequate plan fail due to the team’s inability to recognize key trends and fleet patterns that spelled eventual doom. An expert eye can detect even the most subtle of dangers and mitigate a dreaded shipping disaster.

Let Iron Horse Logistics Group be your expert eye and we will sharply monitor your movements to bring you our solutions, your success.
